What is Geo Liquid?
Geo Liquid is a water conditioner made from an extremely complex blend of natural minerals. It contains 2 parts: a clear solution containing extremely high levels of colloidal minerals, and Very fine (less than 4 Microns) mineral particles as sediment in the bottom.
Geo Liquid makes fish-keeping easy!!!
It creates ideal water conditions simply by being added to the tank.
When shaken, and added to an aquarium, the particles disperse in a whitish cloud throughout the tank. The particles interact with the colloidal minerals and chemical contaminants in the tank. Geo Liquid’s interaction with the tank is very complex, but self regulating, and depends greatly on the water conditions in the tank. Geo Liquid does 2 main things by creating ideal natural water conditions.
It either adds minerals, or absorbs minerals from the tank, as required, depending on what is needed to create an equilibrium with its own basic natural structure. This adjusts the water to match its own intrinsic balance.
It bonds onto, and permanently removes almost all chemical contaminants and residues from the water, including Medication Residues, Heavy Metals, Pesticides, Chlorine, Chloramines, and a wide range of toxins that can adversely affect the essential bacteria, invertebrates, fish, and other inhabitants of the tank.
These two main effects, in combination, create ideal water conditions for all the fish, plants, bacteria, and other organisms in the aquarium. This greatly boosts the efficiency of all biological filtration systems and creates the perfectly balanced environment needed for the healthy growth and vitality of all Fish, plants, and invertebrates.
How to use:
1. Shake bottle vigorously until all sediment has completely mixed with the liquid portion of the product that contains all the colloidal minerals.
2. Add to the aquarium at the rate of about 1ml. per 10 Litres, (1ml per 3 litres for the marine version.) without turning off the filters. This is a rough guide, as it is impossible to overdose. More is OK. Also….. ALWAYS add a Chlorine neutralizer if using Chlorinated tap water.
3. The water will go VERY CLOUDY!!! DON’T PANIC!!! The particles will do no harm, but they will stay in suspension until they have completely exhausted their capacity, or have completely removed the contaminants in the water. The time it takes to clear can give you a general indication of both how bad water conditions are, and how much they have improved with each use. It varies from as little as one or two hours if the water is pretty good, to about 2 days for badly contaminated tanks. The cloudiness usually clears much more quickly on the second and subsequent uses as the background level of contaminants has been reduced.
GEO LIQUID creates ideal water conditions the same way nature does…Without Chemicals!
l Geo Liquid has no measurable effect on the waters PH or hardness.
l Geo Liquid is completely natural, and contains no man-made chemicals.
l Geo Liquid is impossible to overdose with. The more builds up in the tank and filtration system, the better.
l Geo Liquid is safe for all aquariums, Fresh, Marine, Tropical, Cold, Hard or Soft.
l Geo Liquid boosts the efficiency of all filters.
l Geo Liquid never leaches contaminants back into the water, as Activated Carbon often does.
l Geo Liquid and Bacteria Culture type products work well together, and greatly boosts each other’s performance, and efficiency.

How to use GEO LIQUID.
Before using GEO LIQUID it is important to make sure all the sediment at the bottom of the bottle is mixed into suspension. So shake the bottle vigorously before using…and then shake again to make sure!!.
· Add GEO LIQUID to the tank after each water change as Directed. About 1ml for every 10 litres is normal for all the fresh water versions, or about 1ml for every 3 Litres for the marine versions. The amount is not critical. It is impossible to overdose. Leave all the filters running, although it may be an idea to temporarily turn off protein skimmers.
· First Add a Chlorine and Chloramine neutralizer to the water. (GEO LIQUID will take a long time to remove these chemicals, maybe 2 or 3 hours. GEO LIQUID will then remove any residues later.)
· When poured into the tank, the water will turn very cloudy with most kinds of GEO LIQUID, (Some kinds of GEO LIQUID, particularly the Arowana and Betta versions, are far less cloudy than others) This cloudiness is sometimes to the point where all the fish disappear in the murk. For first time users, this is quite scary, but it will absolutely not harm the fish, or anything else. It is completely safe, and the fish will hardly notice it. There is no need to panic!!! This is normal.
Observe how the fish react to the cloud. You will notice that the fish will hardly notice the cloud spreading through the tank and will swim through it quite happily.
Depending on the prevailing water conditions in the tank, it could take as little as 2 or 3 hours, or as long as 2 or 3 days for GEO LIQUID to establish an equilibrium with the water in the tank. The time taken to clear is highly variable and hard to predict. However the time taken usually gets shorter with each application.
· The first time GEO LIQUID is used, an average tank set up with tap water in most cities, will remain cloudy for about 10 hrs. Then it will clear very quickly once the equilibrium is achieved. Usually leaving the water sparkling clear. Often the difference in water clarity can be startling.
· The second time GEO LIQUID is used, the time taken to clear is usually much
shorter. Maybe about 5 or 6 hours on average. This indicates how much better the water quality is the second time around.
· The third and subsequent times GEO LIQUID is used, the time taken to clear will gradually shorten, indicating that the background level of contaminants has decreased, and GEO LIQUID doesn't have to work so hard to stabilize conditions and create an equilibrium.
GEO LIQUID is a great water quality test or Barometer.
Not only does GEO LIQUID work well, but it also gives you an indication of how bad the water was in the first case, and how much it has improved with each use. GEO LIQUID can be used in any aquarium. It is equally beneficial in tropical, salt, cold water, specialty aquariums, and ponds.
Problems
GEO LIQUID never causes any problems with any aquariums, however in very rare cases, it can precipitate problems that were going to occur anyway, sooner or later.
Very Occasionally, the cloudiness simply refuses to clear up, and the cloudiness stays for days or weeks. This is caused, in nearly every case, by something in the tank continuously leaching some kind of contaminant into the water. Since the contaminant cannot be completely removed from the water under these conditions, the GEO LIQUID particles cannot create an equilibrium, as there is always a trace of the contaminant remaining in the water to be dealt with.
The particles then stay suspended indefinitely until their ability to continue to absorb the contaminant is completely exhausted. This might take weeks, but the root cause of the problem still remains.
Page 2
The cause can be a piece of driftwood, or something else that is slowly releasing some kind of contaminant into the water. But, …………. in the vast majority of cases, the culprit is old dirty activated carbon filter material. As
soon as this is removed, or replaced, GEO LIQUID can finish its job, and the water will clear up as the particles precipitate out of suspension. The same thing can happen with old contaminated Zeolite, although this is less common.
If the filter system hasn't been cleaned out for months, or a year or more, the organic gunk that has built up within the filter could be the cause of this problem. A bit of basic maintenance will prevent this problem from occurring.
On very rare occasions, in tanks that have a chemical contaminant that is interfering with the ability of the essential bacteria to break down Ammonia in the water, the sudden removal of this contaminant will allow the bacteria to get back to work. This can cause a sudden increase in Nitrite, which can be lethal to the fish. This is the same as the problems often encountered with new tanks, (Often referred to as “New Tank Syndrome”) before adequate numbers of bacteria have built up in the filter.
If this happens, the tank was in an extremely unhealthy state, and would be more than likely to have had a catastrophic crash of water conditions whether GEO LIQUID was used or not. This is very rare, and a substantial water change before using GEO LIQUID, will nearly always prevent it from occurring.
Using GEO LIQUID With other products.
It is not recommended to ever use GEO LIQUID when medicating any aquarium for any reason. GEO LIQUID will treat most medications as a contaminant and remove them from the water, thus rendering the medication useless and eliminating any benefits the medication may have had. If you need to medicate, it is safe to do so after GEO LIQUID has cleared from the water. Once it has precipitated out it has a very limited effect on any chemicals added to the tank afterwards. If you wait a day or so after using GEO LIQUID, your medications should not be effected.
We generally recommend that GEO LIQUIUD be used after a course of treatment is finished to remove any residues that could adversely affect the all-important bacteria in the filter.
Regular use of GEO LIQUID will create an environment that is so conducive to healthy growth of all the living things in the tank that the chances of any diseases becoming a problem are greatly reduced.
GEO LIQUID is NOT a medication, and cannot be used for treating any specific condition. However, in most cases of disease outbreak, the fish are under stress from environmental factors that can be greatly reduced, or eliminated by using GEO LIQUID.
GEO LIQUID works very well in conjunction with any bacteria culture type products. Indeed, we recommend that GEO LIQUID be used at the same time as these products because these two classes of product greatly boost each other’s effectiveness.
How to evaluate the effects of GEO LIQUID.
As Geo Liquid is completely different from any other product on the market, and is in a class of its own, it doesn't conform to any standard chemical tests. It's effects are wide and varied, and depend a great deal on the prevailing water conditions in which it is used.
It both adds and removes different things to and from the water. In two identical looking tanks, it might release a particular trace element into one, but at the same time, remove some from the next one. It depends on what needs to be done to achieve an equilibrium.

TESTING GEO LIQUID.
The simplest way to test it is to simply try it in an existing aquarium. If you have a couple of different aquariums, especially if one has never had any problems, and the other is often creating hassles of some kind, you can use the good one as a control.
1. Add GEO LIQUID to the aquarium as per instructions, early in the morning, making sure that it is well shaken until all sediment in the bottom is well mixed beforehand. WATCH CAREFULLY! Be prepared for the tank to go VERY cloudy. Don't worry about it. Watch how the fish and other creatures react. The fish will hardly notice, and will swim through the whitish cloud as it spreads through the tank. Even extremely sensitive creatures like feather dusters in marine aquariums will not even notice.
2. Take note of how much time it takes to clear. This varies greatly, and depends on the prevailing water conditions. For a first time use, it might take 10 hours, or as little as 3, which is why early morning is the best time to do it, so you can keep watch. Usually it does not clear gradually. It usually stays really cloudy for a number of hours, then clears over half
an hour or so as the particles reach equilibrium, and precipitate out of suspension. Some varieties, particularly Arowana and Betta, do not generally cause any noticeable initial cloudiness
3. Repeat the procedure several days or a week later. Unless the test aquarium is in nearly perfect condition, and takes less than 2 or 3 hours to clear the first time around, it will almost always clear in a much shorter time the second time around. This shows that the overall water quality has improved after the first use of GEO LIQUID.
Things to look for.
Results vary widely, depending on the aquarium. They can be dramatic, or very subtle. It all depends on the quality of the water already in the aquarium. However, the main things to look for are:
· Better water clarity after any initial cloudiness has cleared. Again this varies greatly. Sometimes this is quite dramatic, sometimes not noticeable at all. Sometimes there is no difference at all in very dirty tanks, but the clarity improves over a week or so as the bacteria start working more efficiently, and clear up the backlog of organic contaminants in the water that GEO LIQUID has no direct effect on. Some of the effects are directly related to GEO LIQUID; other times, the conditions created by GEO LIQUID allow the bacteria to create other more obvious changes to take place.
· A shortening of the time taken for the initial cloudiness to to clear the second and third time around. This indicates that the background level of contaminants has been reduced, and/or that trace element deficiencies have been reduced. GEO LIQUID doesn't have to work as hard after the first time. RESULTS ARE CUMULATIVE!! GEO LIQUID gives an indication of not only how bad the water quality is, but also of how much it has improved, simply by using it.
· Fish behavior and appearance. Quite often, fish suddenly become more active, their coloration improves, their appetite increases, they start breeding, and illnesses start clearing up. This is all indicative of reduced environmental stress factors, and much improved biological activity in the filters. This also means that the fish will have much greater resistance to any diseases that they may come in contact with.
· Plant growth. Water plants usually show greater vigor, better colour, and much greater root growth.
Water Chemistry. If the tank is having persistent problems with ammonia build-up or other chemical balance problems, then they often disappear as the bacteria in the filter start working more efficiently. GEO LIQUID generally stabilizes the things that sometimes get a bit out of control.

Other effects.
GEO LIQUID has other very important effects on the water apart from balancing out all the trace elements and minerals in solution.
GEO LIQUID also bonds onto, and removes almost all artificial chemicals from the water. Medication residues, heavy metals, and many other pollutants and contaminants that sometimes find their way into the Aquarium are nearly all precipitated out of the water. Once these chemicals have been bonded onto, (“Adsorbed” is the correct word, as distinct from “Absorbed”) and completely removed from the water, the microscopic GEO LIQUID particles will precipitate to the bottom with them, and will never leach them back into the water. They are in effect rendered completely inert, and permanently removed from the Aquarium water.
These chemicals are not changed or chemically altered. They are physically removed from solution and rendered permanently harmless.
GEO LIQUID is NOT…………..;
l A BACTERIA CULTURE.
GEO LIQUID contains no bacteria at all, beneficial or otherwise. However, it does create the perfect environment for the Essential Bacteria that are needed to maintain a healthy ecosystem in the aquarium.
When setting up a new tank, some bacterial starter culture type products are very useful to get the biological processes in the filter working properly to break down all the waste products in the Aquarium.
Once these bacteria are established, they never need to be boosted by further man made bacteria cultures. The Bacteria will simply keep on multiplying as needed to maintain optimum levels for the bio-load in the aquarium. That is provided of course that the water conditions are suitable for them to grow. GEO LIQUID creates the ideal conditions for them to thrive.
l A FLOCCULANT.
A flocculent is a chemical that makes particles coalesce together, and then precipitate out of solution. GEO LIQUID does not make any particles coalesce under any circumstances. Often, however, particulate matter that makes the water cloudy will disappear after a few days as the revitalized bacteria in the filter get to work, and start breaking them down at an accelerated rate.
l A MEDICATION
GEO LIQUID is in no way shape or form a medication for anything. When diseases start making fish get sick or die, adding GEO LIQUID to the water will have no direct effect at all on any disease………
However, if fish are getting sick it generally indicates that they have depressed immune systems because healthy fish are usually not susceptible to most disease outbreaks. Generally this is caused by bad water quality in one form or another which will subject the fish to some kind of stress, and this in turn weakens their immune System. Adding GEO LIQUID to the water will create much better water conditions which will in turn reduce the environmental stress factors affecting your fish. This will lead to healthier, and more resilient fish. Often adding GEO LIQUID to an aquarium with sick fish can have magical effects on the illnesses. But this is not the GEO LIQUID fighting the disease, but the fish’s own healthier immune systems getting back to normal in the absence of pollution or trace element deficiency.
If it is necessary to medicate the aquarium, wait until the course is complete, and the disease eliminated, and then do an extra large water change, and add an extra large dose of GEO LIQUID (About 3 times the normal dose should do it.) to mop up the remaining medication residues to get your aquarium back to optimal health.
